Day 1: Discovering the Heart of Shanghai
Begin your day by heading to the iconic Bund, a waterfront area in central Shanghai that offers stunning views of Pudong district across the Huangpu River. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade and drink in the magnificent views of the modern architecture of Shanghai. Day 2: Exploring Modern Shanghai
Start your day with a visit to the Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world. The observation deck offers breathtaking views of Pudong District and beyond, and you'll find yourself feeling like you're on top of the world.
After the skyscraper experience, head over to the Jing'an Temple, located in the heart of the city. The temple has stood at the centre of Shanghai's spiritual life for centuries, and the impressive statue of the Buddha housed within is a must-see while visiting the city.
For lunch, take a trip to one of the city's many malls or shopping districts. The city is known for its shopping, and you'll find yourself spoiled for choice. Take your pick from local boutiques or international brands to get your fix of retail therapy – it's the perfect way to spend a few hours on your day of exploration.
In the afternoon, make a trip to the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. The museum offers a fun and interactive way to learn about the latest advancements in science and technology, and has many hands-on exhibits that will engage and entertain visitors of all ages.
As the sun sets on your second day in Shanghai, head to the vibrant Xintiandi district. The area is home to some of the city's most fashionable and trendy restaurants and bars, and is the perfect place to end your trip to Shanghai on a high note.
